Module 2: Creating and Maintaining Safe Environments
Builds practical understanding of how to maintain safe indoor and outdoor environments through daily checks, supervision, and effective use of equipment.
Module 3: Risk Assessments and COSHH
Develops skills to identify hazards, carry out proportionate risk assessments, and apply COSHH principles to protect children and adults.
Module 4: COSHH and Safe Use of Substances
Strengthens understanding of legal duties for handling, storing, and using hazardous substances safely within early years settings.
Module 5: Food Safety and Nutrition
Supports safe food preparation, allergen management, and delivery of balanced nutrition in line with EYFS and DfE guidance.
Module 6: Manual Handling and Safe Working Practices
Promotes safe movement, lifting, and working practices to reduce injury risks for staff and children.

Prepares practitioners to respond confidently to emergencies through clear procedures, drills, and effective risk planning.
